ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ (ਮੋਹਾਲੀ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਧਨ-ਧਾਨਯ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਕੈਂਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਨਗਰ (ਮੋਹਾਲੀ) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੱਦਾ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਧਨ-ਧਾਨਯ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਕਾਲਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਤੀ 11.10.2025 ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਕੈਂਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਮੰਤਵ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ (ਧਨ- ਧਾਨਯ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ, ਦਾਲਾਂ ਸਵੈ-ਨਿਰਭਰਤਾ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ, ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਫੰਡ, ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਫੂਡ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ) ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ, ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੱਦਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਚਲਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਡਾ. ਮੁਨੀਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਖੇਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਡਾ. ਹਰਮੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਪਾਰੁਲ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੂਡ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਵਰਧਕ ਉਤਪਾਦਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਕਾਲਗੜ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਸਰਪੰਚ ਸ. ਗੁਰਜੰਟ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਕੇ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਖੇਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਕਾਲਗੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।

Successful completion of 6th scientific advisory committee meeting of KVK SAS Nagar

Under the chairmanship of Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Hon’ble Vice Chancelor GADVASU, 6th scientific advisory committee of KVK SAS Nagar was held on 17.02.2025. Dr. B.S. Khadda welcomed everyone and Dr. Munish Sharma presented the work conducted by the team of KVK. Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancelor GADVASU, Dr. R.S. Grewal, Director Extention Education GADVASU and Dr. P.S.Brar, Director Student Welfare and Estate Officer  GADVASU carefully investigated and observed the work done by KVK during the year 2024. Dr. Ashish Murai Scientist from ATARI-LDH also joined the meeting via online platform. Various line departments of district, heads/professor of university department and progressive farmers were also present in the meeting. Their suggestions and insights were appreciated by the dignitaries.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized Kisan Mela on ‘In-situ crop Residue Management’ at KVK farm, Majra of district Mohali. This event was presided over by Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Extension Education, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana as Chief Guest. The programme was attended by large number of farmers/farm women and several officials of various line departments of the district. Dr. B.S Khadda, Deputy Director, KVK Mohali welcomed all the participants and briefed about the activities of KVK. Kisan Mela started with technical session in which Dr. Rajesh Kasrija, Dr. Prateek Dhaliwal, Experts from GADVASU, Dr. Aparna, Dr. Ankurdeep Preety, Dr. Jagmanjot Singh (Experts from KVK Ropar), Dr. R.S. Ghuman & Dr. Navneet (Experts from FASC, Ropar), Dr. Anil Bana, Soil Conservation Officer, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur, HDO, Dr. Raman Karodia, Agriculture Officer (Majri) delivered lectures on the various aspects of paddy straw management. Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Extension Education cautioned the farmers regarding crop residue burning and highlighted its harmful effects on soil, human and animal health.  He urged farmers to use paddy straw for economizing the livestock production. Progressive livestock &Agriculture farmers of the district also shared their experience in straw management and benefits they got by not burning the rice straw. They also acknowledged the support given by KVK Mohali and GADVASU, Ludhiana. Exhibitions were also organized in which many line departments, private companies, FPOs, SHGs and entrepreneurs displayed their products. Progressive farmers/farm women were also felicitated during this Kisan Mela for their contribution in the field of agriculture and livestock production. A Nukkar Natak was also played by National Fertilizers Ltd. Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Asstt. Prof. (Plant Protection), KVK Mohali, thanked the dignitaries, farmers, and staff members for their active participation in the program.

KVK, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized five days training programme on management of paddy straw at village Sangatpura under the supervision of Dr. Balbir Singh Khadda, Deputy Director, KVK. Total 25 farmers were trained under this training. The lectures were delivered by different experts of KVK regarding different methods of paddy straw management. Dr. Balbir Singh Khadda highlighted the efforts of KVK in running campaigns of scientific management of paddy straw. Dr. Navjot Singh Brar provided detailed information on management of paddy straw with the help of different advance machines and also discussed the cultivation practices of rabi crops. Dr. Harmeet Kaur give information about the insect pests and rodents control in rabi crops. Dr. Munish Sharma discussed about the use of paddy straw in vegetable cultivation. Dr. Gulgul Singh and Dr. Komal highlighted the use of paddy straw for animals feed and for bedding of animals. Dr. Parul Gupta trained the farmers for use of paddy straw in making household goods. Farmers of the village appreciate the efforts of KVK and ensured that they will not burn the paddy straw in this year and will manage it by using scientific technology.
