Krishi Vigyan Kendra S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali) organized field day on theme “Grassroot innovators” with financial assistance from Punjab State council for Science and Technology under project “Grassroot innovators of Punjab” (GRIP) on dated 07.03.2024. This programme was organized under the guidence of Dr B.S. Khadda, Deputy Director (Trg) at village Kalewal of district Mohali.
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Khadda said that this programme was conducted to motivate and appreciate the innovative farmers who develop or innovate new farming practices to enhance the production and profitability of their farm. He told that such farmers should come forward and should share their innovative practices and experiences with fellow farmers.
Dr. Munish Sharma gave lecture on cultivation of cucurbitaceous vegetables under plastic low tunnels and use of sarkanda grass to protect vegetables from frost, and to take early yield which in turn can fetch more profits.
Dr. Komal awared farmers on benefits of integrated farming.
